OX: Handcuffs

Everyday law enforcement officers are faced with suspects resisting arrest. In order to gain control and apply handcuffs, an officer must manually force the suspect’s arms into a specific position. After a few weeks of research with officers from the Cincinnati Police Department, I discovered this method can cause injury to both the officer and suspect.

OX allows an officer to apply each cuff to a suspect’s arm independently, without manually forcing them into a specific position. Once the cuffs are applied, the officer can depress the trigger (which activates the motor) and retract the suspect’s arms to a controlled position behind their back.

OX gives law enforcement officers a safe and easy method to gain control of a suspect resisting arrest.
