Special Life Skills (TM) Series
Some 20% of elementary age school children are diagnosed with ongoing, chronic mental, emotional, relational and physical problems. With a year of in depth research by interviewing the parents of Special Children, we developed a deep knowledge base of their needs, stresses, practical, emotional, and relational challenges. With that data and forty years experience of helping families we can reduce the 85% divorce rate for parents and increase life quality for everyone. Our SpecialLife TM Skills series will enable parents to improve relational skills, avoid dysfunctional traps, reduce stress, and find support.
SLS has decades of training local, national and international groups how to equip peer volunteers to provide emotional support, insight, best care practices, respite care and spiritual life to one another. We will teach parents how to teach and train each other through co-ops to implement their own best practices to relieve the stress and trauma of caring for people with chronic problems.
Through distance learning, webinars, video conferences, social networking, an interactive web, Skype and face to face conferences and networks we will build on the knowledge and wisdom of these talented parents. We will involve community leaders, medical and psychological experts, local businesses, churches, synagogues, mosques, temples and other social groups.
